Project

Aqtivite is a platform where users discover and buy tickets for events in their city. The app started on the web and was later taken to iOS and Android.

Problem

The v1 interface of the product was old and slow. The redesign also had to make the same product work consistently on web, iOS and Android, and the product needed promo sites to present itself and its events.

What I did

  • I redesigned the old v1 interface from scratch as v2. I played a part in designing the whole frontend and ran the process from start to finish.
  • I built the interface architecture on clean-code principles and split repeated logic into reusable composables.
  • I took the app from web to iOS and Android, turning one product into 3 platforms.
  • I built the promo sites: an about site covering the product and the call to organizers, and a link page that lists events by city.

Promo sites

  • about.aqtivite.com.tr ↗: product story, mission and vision, differentiators, screenshots, store links and a partnership call for organizers.
  • link.aqt.im ↗: a city-selectable link page I built with Next.js. It pulls upcoming events from an API and gathers store and social media links in one place.

Result

One product on 3 platforms and two live promo sites. The event list on the link page comes from an API, so it never needs manual updating.
